The Dark Church (Karanlik Kilise) is an 11th century Byzantine church carved into volcanic rock in Cappadocia. As we were walking up the stairs, the man watching over the frescos was singing slowly...when we entered the chapel he began to tap a rhythm on his legs and sing louder...Holy Muslim music in an ancient Greek Orthodox church in Turkey.
